From Upholstery To Fashion With The Mill Fabrics

With the help of Johan Botha fashion in Collaboration with The Mill Fabrics’ Radio upholstery collection has been transformed into stylish apparel.

The inspiration for the session was 1960s-inspired, designed by Johan Botha Fashions.

Hes work always speaks for it self with fine art couture fashion. the 1960's dress was made with The Mill’s Chess Moonstone and Draughts Beryl fabrics. The fabrics used are of highest grade upholstery material. Showing the aspects how fashion can be found in all things. Johan Botha fashion's work continues to inspire us from the making of their pieces. this entire outfit, hat and bag was constructed in one day.

The Mills Fabrics inspiration

Lorna Bailey, Founder of The Mill Fabrics, was heavily inspired by the visual language of the 1960s, leaning on the influential essence of Audrey Hepburn and renowned Mary Quant style. Combining her vision with Johan’s talent made fashion of the fabric, with Johan creating an interpretation of the trademark Quant shift dress.
